Security And Privacy Statement
|
|
At the Magazine Shop we are aware that privacy and security concerns are a major issue for
customers when they are purchasing online. Security and privacy are of the highest priority for us
and we take every effort to ensure the information you transmit to us is kept both secure and
strictly confidential.
Privacy
We fully respect the privacy of our customers information. Any information you provide us with
is kept private and not disclosed to any unauthorised third parties. We abide by the Data Protection
Act 1984 and are registered with the Data Protection Registrar, registration number X4306286.
Security
We utilise the latest technology to provide completely secure credit card transactions - giving
you the extra peace of mind when ordering ONLINE. Industry standard secure socket layer encryption
technology is used to ensure a safe connection. We use the Thawte
Internet Certificate Authority to provide digital certificates. They are a highly respected global
provider of digitial certificates with 40% of the Internet's SSL Web server market. This security
means it is safer to purchase online compared to sending information by mail or over the telephone.
In addition The Magazine Shop belongs to the
Which? Web Trader code of practice.
Connection Problems
Please note the secure connection will not work if your browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer
version 2.x or below or Netscape Navigator version 1.x or below. If this is the case either upgrade
you browser from Microsoft or
Netscape or use our
standard connection. Netscape Navigator version 2.x and Microsoft Internet Explorer version
3.0 require an installable upgrade. Netscape Navigator version
3.x requires a root rollover. To test if you have the correct browser click
